Okay, if that were really true, I would have no electricity. In truth I am too tired to blog. April was long and arduous. I drove to and from Palm Springs four or five times, helping my 84 year old grandmother recuperate post-surgery. Now that I am re-settled in Los Angeles and caught up on sleep (though, can I ever really do that?) I'll try and inject a little verve into my forlorn, readerless blog.
Last weekend I visited a small farm in La Habra Heights. It was a wonderful experience and I got to pet some chickens, collect some eggs, and go home with a pint of freshly picked blueberries, two heads of lettuce-- giant spider included--, a bag of chard, a frozen chicken, a dozen fresh eggs, some rosemary and two kinds of avocados. I will rhapsodize about this experience at greater length after my reprise trip this Saturday. It's sure to be filled with food and fun. Possibly blood and feathers.
Kisses,
Dana
